front is lovely but the rear is blah
On a given day, a given circumstance, you think you have a limit. And you then go for this limit and you touch this limit, and you think, 'Okay, this is the limit.' As soon as you touch this limit, something happens and you suddenly can go a little bit further. With your mind power, your determination, your instinct, and the experience as well, you can fly very high - Ayton Senna
Wow, lookin' good.![]()
Why do they even put badges on them in the first place, only to cover them up with tape? Wouldn't it be a lot more sensible to bust out the fishing line and debadge the cars, or better yet, most of them are hand-built pre-production cars anyway before the factories are retooled. How about don't put the badges on in the first place?
Let's see. Looks like a Honda. It's in Ohio. Anyone who is remotely interested in photographing the new Accord already knows what it looks like. Most people won't care. Why bother covering up the badges at this point?
id take it in black and smoke those front turn signals. They extend way too far back for my taste.
I think, from a design perspective, Honda really hit a home run with the current Civic coupe. It's too bad that couldn't be emulated in the Accord coupe. It doesn't look bad... but it doesn't look nearly as good either.
What is with that horizontal hood cut-line? Why didn't they make it follow the line of the headlights and top of the grille? Would've looked much better.
Thoughts expressed are those of the poster and not those of some long dead guy who I choose to speak for me.

Just wondering, did you always feel that way about the Civic? I only ask because you've seen the Civic in person, but you haven't seen the Accord. I have a feeling this is a car that will look better in person, like most new cars.
FWIW, I think the Accord is the best looking car its segment. People need to take it for what it is......a relatively sporty mainstream coupe that is intended to appeal to the masses.

That car is extra ugly. I dont know what the hell you guys are talking about.

I feel the opposite. I don't like the Civic coupe much at all, but I think the Accord looks great.
when the accord is parked next to the civic, it looks A LOT better. I used to think the design was bloated and overweight, but it actually looks pretty sleek when next to the civic. Very nice![]()
i hope that they get rid of those on the real thing.

all kidding aside, i definitely don't think that silver does that car justice. i've seen it in a darker color (can't remember...maybe a grey?) and i wasn't too fond of that either. the one shot of the interior doesn't look bad; i'd like to see more of that.

Yup -- from the moment Honda released the Si Concept I began drooling
But I agree -- I shouldn't cut this car down too much (which I didn't do) and I should wait until I see it in the flesh.
My worries of the last camo'd Accord are over!I love this car.
When is it supposed to hit showrooms? I'm drooling.

The bulky rear, though, has a GM feel to it.
Front
Rear
The Civic coupe next to it looks better.
There are no old Porsches - just new owners.
Front looks pretty bulky too IMO - maybe a nod to the pedestrian safety laws? All in all, a poorly proportioned vehicle with so-so detailing, that i would still take in a heartbeat - especially with that 6-speed.![]()
Damn, I was hoping they wouldn't really style it like that.Looks like a late model unfinished BMW mule.

From reading comments here about some recent BMWs, it sounds like some folks would've preferred that BMW left them unfinished, too.

I'm liking the front 3/4 shots. The rear doesn't look as interesting.. but you'd be surprised how much more finished a car looks with the tape removed from the badges.
I much prefer the hood/windshield/rear quarter window/rear window proportions of the Accord to the Civic.

Agreed.
I think the side profile is fine but the front and the rear look really unrefined.

Oh nice.Yet more "I wanna touch the windshield" headlights.

I like it. It looks smaller than the current coupe. This with the rumored 4 cyl diesel is the car i want in a year or 2.
Quote, originally posted by P-Body » Nissan had better sell as many Altima coupes as they can right now, because this thing is gonna obliterate the entire segment. that's what I was thinking too...it's not exactly a home run imo, but compared to the altima it's a billion times better.

Can someone P-Shop the headlights wrapping around the car?

It looks like it's two different cars joined at the A pillar.I rate it a solid "meh."
